Stornoway Museum (Museum nan Eilean)

This is a new museum set in the stunning Lews Castle Grounds in Stornoway, Lewis, in the Hebrides.

It is a museum with a single car on display of great interest. A 1923 Morgan 3 wheeler Family Runabout.

This car was bought in 1923 by a local shopkeeper when it was the first car on the island of Berneray. After being left in a clifftop shed for many years it was rebuilt and finished by 1999. The National Museums of Scotland acquired the car in 2000 and in 2016 it was first displayed in the new Stornoway Museum. (Museum nan Eilean)
